This is my new obsession. Something about this dish is extremely addictive. It delcious and comforting and has a bit of a kick to it.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 cup cooked rice
2 cups kettle and fire bone broth
two herb bombs (see herb bomb post for recipe)
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp umami seasoning or seasonings of choice
1 egg yolk
1 tbs bone broth
1/2 tsp umami seasoning
1/2 rotisserie chicken (plain or fried in butter)
pickled onions
parsley
Directions
Cook onion in a little beef tallow until translucent about 2 min.
Put rice and bone broth and herb cubes into pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium. Let cook for 5 minutes. Turn off heat.
Add seasonings.
In a bowl place egg yolk, extra umami seasoning, and bone broth and mix it up.
Slowly pour soup into bowl with egg yolk.
Mix all together and top with favorite toppings. I did rotisserie chicken, pickled onions, parsley, and lemon juice.
